Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 August 2026

Ultenix runs commands on your machine and connects to your phone, so it is worth being precise about what leaves your Mac and what does not.

1. What stays on your Mac

Settings, terminal output, command history, saved layouts, and background images are stored locally. None of it is sent to us.

2. What the AI features send

When you use plain language input, error explanations, or guided setup, we send your request along with the context needed to answer it: the working directory, the previous command, and its output.

  • Free plan with your own API key: the request goes directly to the provider you chose, such as Anthropic. It does not pass through us.
  • Free plan with a local Ollama model: nothing leaves your machine.
  • Pro plan with our hosted model: the request passes through our service to the model provider. We do not retain it beyond what is needed to investigate faults, and we do not use it for training.

3. Dictation

Speech is transcribed on your Mac. Neither the audio nor the transcript is uploaded anywhere, including to us. The only network request involved is a one time download of the transcription model.

4. iPhone and iPad access

Traffic between your Mac and your device is encrypted with keys derived from your pairing phrase. On the same network the connection is direct. Away from home it passes through our relay, which forwards ciphertext only. We cannot read it, and we do not store it.

5. Payment information

Card details are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store them. We keep only what is required to know the state of your subscription: your email address, plan, term, and the processor's identifier.

6. Background image search

Searching for a background sends your search term to Unsplash, Pixabay, and Pexels. Nothing else is sent.

7. This website

We may use analytics to understand how the site is used. What we collect there is aggregate and does not identify you. The site works with cookies disabled.

8. Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties, except where required by law. We use processors for payments, model hosting, and email, and we hold them to the same standard.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. Use the contact form and we will act once we have confirmed who you are.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on this site before it takes effect.
